Paradigme ADR is established by Kåre Kvalsund and Geir Frøholm after they have worked together on various issues and dispute solutions within construction.
Our Background
Both have many years of experience, Kåre Kvalsund as a manager for many years with contractors and later as a consultant. As a consultant, Kåre works particularly with advisory services, project analysis and documentation in connection with various challenges/dispute resolution within contracting with the main emphasis on larger construction projects, complicated infrastructure projects as well as renewable energy and gas.
Geir Frøholm has been a consortium lawyer in the current Skanska Norge AS, later a long-standing partner and head of the construction and infrastructure departments in Schjødt and SANDS. He is now a consortium lawyer in the Consto-group. Both are active mediators in addition to their other duties.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
The idea of combining experience and expertise in Paradigme ADR is our belief that mediation to resolve disputes is particularly suitable within construction. We have already collaborated over many years with risk analysis, contract administration and dispute resolution, and find that the collaboration between us has been important in order to have the widest possible understanding of the challenges we have faced. The combination of Kåre and Geir’s background and experience therefore provides understanding and a wide register to play on, in order to achieve solutions when parties themselves do not see these. We have both individually and together carried out many successful negotiations and mediation. The challenges have been many, which has given us valuable experience and knowledge that we can use in the role of mediators/experts, facilitators and advisors.
In our experience, a mediation team has greater opportunity to handle mediation within the complicated technical, legal, and financial issues that often characterize disputes within construction.
